Today, no Sikh jathebandi–no matter how cowardly or weak–will dare to claim that these elections can be a means of solving any of the problems afflicting Sikhs today. To justify their pursuit of power however, many are manipulating their words, to term their participation as a means to “protect our rights”.

A new book was launched for Sri Guru Nanak Sahib’s Gurpurab by Khalis House, an independent Sikh publisher based in London, UK. This book is unique and demonstrates that this new generation is equally as interested in connecting with and contributing to Sikh literary works. Below we hear from the author and founder of Khalis house, Ranveer Singh, on what motivated him to write this book.

The Indian government recently made several nefarious claims in the Supreme Court of India about the role of Khalistani activists in the ongoing farmers’ protest on the basis of information they allegedly received from the IB (Intelligence Bureau). The pertinent question, though, is that how reliable is the information when quoted with reference to IB? Are these powerful secret services agencies really impartial? Do they even work in the public interest?

A sitting Shiv Sena MP, Sanjay Raut, recently penned an article for a weekly magazine, Saamna, in which he wrote, "the continuing deterioration in relations between the States and the Center (Delhi) is leading to a situation in which the breakdown of India like the USSR is becoming more and more likely."
